In good company

An amateur company, originally founded in 1930, Stourbridge Theatre Company has regularly presented productions to local audiences ever since. Performances have ranged comprehensively over a wide spectrum; from Shakespeare and Greek tragedy to modern farce.

In addition to major presentations at Stourbridge Town Hall Theatre, the Company has appeared locally at the Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge and - in association with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council - regularly stages open-air productions in the grounds of the fabulous Himley Hall. Nationally, the company has trodden the boards at the Edinburgh Fringe, the open-air Minack theatre in Cornwall, the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, Yorkshire and the Dylan Thomas Theatre in Swansea. Furthermore, the Company regularly takes part in local competitive Drama Festivals, winning many prizes and trophies.

Stourbridge Theatre Company comprises over a hundred enthusiastic members and subscribing Patrons, and has a growing mailing list of more than a hundred people.
